cone's dale experience

When Dale researched learning and teaching methods he found that much direct and indirect (and of concrete and abstract) experience could be summarized in a pyramid or ‘pictorial device’ Dales called ‘the Cone of Experience’. In his book ‘Audio visual methods in teaching’ – 1957, he stated that the cone was not offered as a perfect or mechanically flawless picture to be taken absolutely literally. It was merely designed as a visual aid to help explain the interrelationships of the various types of audio-visual materials, as well as their individual ‘positions’ in the learning process.

from the clear explanation above, we can conclude that cone's dale experience is about the division of dale's believe about learning process. student will get success in learning if they do the experience by themselves. they learn by doing what they have done. 

Behaviorism, cognitivism, and constructivism

There are 3 learning style ; behaviorism, cognitivism, and constructivism:

-          Behaviorism is learning style that focus on behavior, until it becomes automatically.  In this learning style the important is stimulus and responses, where teacher gives the stimulus to the student and students will response it. In behaviorism, the students just memorize and recall the information without improve their ability.

-          Cognitivism more complex, cognitive is the  processes such as thinking, problem solving, language, concept formation and information processing. In cognitivism in more about knowledge where the teacher just transfer the knowledge/information and students to be passive receiver.  In cognitivism the students can’t improve their ability.

-          Constructivism is learning style that the students construct their own concept about the materials. In constructivism is really appropriate in ICT learning concept. Students can build their own concept with teacher clues, and they can develop their ability in many ways. Teacher is being the facilitator and mediator. So teacher just give the clues and wacth students’ development. Students can explore and expose their ability by using ICT . They can collaborate with another students, people even consult with the master. In constructivism, communication is unlimited. 

I I think the most appropriate  leaning style that we can apply in ICT concept is constructivism. 

why?

because in constructivism, the students learn independently. they can create, construct and explore even expose the knowledge that they get. in ICT students should be active, by exploring the knowledge they can explore it by themselves.
